Use a solid spot filter. Or a small hood.

I think you might be thinking about a masking filter. I have never looked for them, but I am guessing you might get some cheap ones from China on the ebay

You will get the most vignetting if you use a lens at its widest aperture.

You could use different sizes of step down rings, If your lens is with a 52mm filter thread then try a 52-50mm ring and so on, this will give you various levels of effect.

I've got a set of vignettes from Cokin, bought them when I used film many years ago, don't know if they still sell them.

Buy cheap lenses and shoot them wide open?
