Virus on my Joomla website? Please Help

OK someone please help.
I have just been told by a potential customer that they googled my name to find my site and ended up on a hard-core porn site.

Just tried it through google and that's what I got too.

thats what I got on the 2nd click... not managed it since.
I had something similar but not to a P**n site, it was a little javascript call at the top of my template that had been put there (somehow) while my file permissions were not locked down. If joomla tells you its editable....its open for modification by others too.

JaguarPC.com give you unlimited space, costs ~£50 a year.

Yep, I missed the second page of the thread and replied to your post about needing new hosting.

Thanks..
But I need to really understand whats going on. I need to find the script thats doing it.

Given that it's only happening every so many times, as highlighted, the problem probably lies with the server that serves your page at the time of a problem, as opposed to the actual pages of your site.

Have you reported this to your host?

well this is going to take awhile.. where exacty did u find the code?

very first line, but your html source doesn't seem to show anything suspect.

So I would have to start assuming its either your host that has the problem or one of the joomla component/mambot/modules has the ability to randomly redirect.

have you seached the joomla forum for a similar instance?

So there you go, my load balancing guess as to why it was only coming up some of the time is true... obviously one (or more) servers out of a group has been compromised.

Trev, get yourself some different hosting mate!

I got the porn site the first time I tried via google but not since which supports this^

The problem does not seem to be with your site but one of the servers on which it's hosted.

That's my thoughts exactly, I mentioned it to servage before but all they said was... Please download teh site and virus check it.

Hopeless!!

Will mention it to them again.

No but servage has the same problem across the board apparently.
Bar Stewards.

Will un-install all unnecessary modules and see if it still happens.

Servage Hosting

my reply..
I'm sorry but how does my browser effect other peoples computers?
I never get the problem myself. Other people that search for my site get it.
I'm sure you will agree that it can seriously effect my business.

servage reply...
Hello Trevor,

Suggest you contact Google regarding this as the issue is not occurring at my end on any number of retries. We will be more than happy to check out anything they may suggest.

Thanks.
