Vivitar to Nikon lens adaptor - can you help ?

Can anyone help

Just got hold of some old Vivitar lenses and wondered if anyone knew of any adaptors which will let me use them on Nikon body.

... did have a very quick search, but couldn't find anything.

Depends what fitting the vivitar lenses are. Can you post a pic of the fitting on the lens. If there's a screw thread then it could be M42 which is an easy adapter to get.
