I've never been to any motor racing event (other than the Goodwood Revival festival) with a camera before, so I didn't know what sort of photo opportunities I would find at this event. As it turned out, my 70-200m f/2.8 zoom lens wasn't much good for capturing the cars on track (at least, not from any of the places I chose to stand in), so I decided to roam around the garage/hospitality areas instead.
There was plenty to see and the colour coordinated cars made for some nicely (colour) balanced compositions.

There was a good atmosphere there, too, helped by the fact that a Brit (Alice Powell) won the race and another Brit (the lovely Jamie Chadwick) emerged as the winner of the championship. A good day out - looking forward to 2020 already !
