Wacom Bamboo issue

Hi all,

I've just been and purchased a Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch, however, it turned out to be an empty box so they went off to find a replacement but couldn't so they put in a Bamboo Fun in the box for the same price.

So, I get home, setup the Bamboo fun and the touch is working fine, however the pen functions are not.

Are the pens platform specific or could this be something else?

The pen is recognised by the tablet as the light goes orange, gets brighter when the pen touches it and picks up clicks, it just doesn't move the cursor at all.

Any suggestions?

Managed to get the pen to move the cursor, but i'll be damned if it's actually working properly.

Using in photoshop CS5 and I've managed to get it to do nice thin lines then BAM nothing but thick lines no matter the pressure it has on it.

turns out it can do pressure sensitive lines, but most of the time its all or nothing
