Walkabout Sigma(s)

Hi Guys.

I'm in urgent need of walkabout lens fo fit onto my D300. i was looking at Sigma 24-70 2.8 or 18-50mm 2.8. Anyone has got these? If so, could you please share your experiences and opinions?

had a couple of 18-50 2.8 macros and loved them. fantastic sharp contrasty lens.

I bought 18-50mm, still waiting for it to be delivered. I might actually get 24-70 later on, just to get this extra range....
