At the NEC Focus show last week was a stand called the Master Photographers something or other; there was a chap there doing demo's and techniques using Photoshop channels. He was using using Photoshop and showing how you can improve workflow and not get yourself bogged down in mundane tasks. If you saw him there you would remember his description of users of my level and ability, "Wangers and Nudgers" as that's how the sliders and curves get used. While watching listening and thinking "flash git" I completely forgot to note the guys web site address, can anyone remember.
 
Thats sounds like the gent, thank you. His use of Photoshop was very different to the way I've often seen it used, he appeared to approach it from an understanding of the underlying basics rather than as just a set of tools.
 
He's known as THE photoshop guru and writes in photopro magazine (i think!)

He is indeed, been using it from the first incarnation of Photoshop and comes from a print background.

Got most of his DVD's and they are very informative and his use of mask's and calculations it very useful indeed.

Yes, Guy Gowan was talking on the MPA stand. It was obvious that he knows Photoshop inside out.

Interesting to see the way he has streamlined using Photoshop down to a selection of actions. He fair whizzed through it though; it was tricky to keep up with to remember what he was doing.
 
was at the photovision roadshow in Edinburgh yesterday great day, Guy Gowan was there too, I got a chance to talk to him for a few minutes he sure does know photoshop just a shame i could not take it all in I asked him a few questions and he was on the ball with the answers.
