want a sound trigger

hi guys im thinking of making a sound trigger and im thinking of using a remote trigger and mod it lol

i need to know is if theres a delay at all with the ml-l3 remote from when you trigger it to when the pic is taken?

There is a slight delay with all radio triggers - with expensive Pocket Wizards it's next to nothing, and with the cheap ebay jobbies you have to reduce your x-sync speed slightly, say from 1/200sec to 1/125sec, that sort of order.

However, that is nothing to the delay between tripping the shutter, the mirror rising and the shutter opening - up to 100ms is not unusual for that. But I'm guessing you'll be using open flash.

I never had to go under 1/250s with cheap chinese triggers. What it doesn't do is ETTL-II, and only has a short range of maybe 10-20 meters.
