Hi all, don't know if this is the right forum, but can you please help me find a sling bag that can accomodate my 50D with 24-70L with hood attached.

I would prefer an all weather type bag but other suggestions welcome.
It would also be nice if the bag has space for a 430EX/580EX flash.

Thank you

You could post it in the 'WANTED' clasifides.

Crumpler messenger or muffin top

Strobe, I've got one of these:

The extendable design means you can use it with your 50D and 24-70 with either the hood reversed or extended. I use it with my 50D and 17-55 the same way, and can use it with my 70-200 f/4 with the hood reversed. No room for a flash, mind you, but a versatile design nonetheless

Thank you all for your help.. I think I need to go to morrisphoto showroom next week.

Keep the suggestions coming..

I have a stealth reporter d400, great bag. Too big for your needs but why not look at the d200- should be about right.

I've got the Stealth 200AW and it will fit in my 1DII with 24-70 (hood reversed) as well as my 17-40 (hood intact) and 580EXII. Can also get in a spare battery and some AA's.

Great bag and a lot better for me when I am going out for the day rather than take my big rucksack.

I have managed to get 1D, 24-70, 17-40 and 70-200 (no hoods) but that was a real squeeze!

Go for crumpler! I've got a muffin top 7500 and it happily takes by 50D with 17-50 f/2.8 and the hood, thinking about it the 24-70 might be a bit long. If you let me know how long/deep it is (from the end of the hood to flush with the LCD) I'll have a measure and see if it'll fit. Mine takes the camera, 17-50, 70-200, 100mm macro, and 430ex. All in a really compact package!

Hi thanks for the offer, its 25cm/10inches.

Thank you, that's good info, but I would prefer the hood to be in place.

Bad news, the muffin top won't close with something that big, the maximum length/depth is about 7.5, 8 inches. So you could either reverse the hood, or have a look at the next size of bags up. I have a Daily 600 XL which would fit that, but it's a bit of a beast! Whatever the equivalent of that in the New Delhi range would suit I'm sure.

Thanks for the quick reply...

I have the messenger boy 8000 which is about 23cm (9 inches) deep. Might work.
