Im interested in tethering my 450D to my MacBook Pro, can anyone tell me what i need to do this and links would be great.

The EOS Utility that comes with the camera will do the job for you, unless you've thrown away the disk of course.

In which case a quick google threw up this link - I'm sure others are available.
 
The EOS utility had everything you need on the discs for tethering and remote shooting. If you use live view, you can see what the camera sees on the PC!

Install the Canon software from the CDs, them jump online and go to canon Europe software update site, there you can install the latest updates of the software that are available.

Plug in your camera via the USB lead, EOS Utility running and away you go ...
