i'd just like to thank all of you so much for all your kind words, it really means a lot to me.
And Ian, thank you for your lovely comment - you know, i'd love to take photos all the time, it's something that i find very therapeutic and get great enjoyment from and look forward to doing each weekend and think about new compositions and locations often, but i think if i turned it into a profession i think photography would turn into a chore - i hope it wouldn't, but fear it might... eventually... and the trouble is that really to make any (serious, meat on table) money from photography i think you've got to be machine like and i think that would zap my creativity if i had to work like that. i know none of my photographs are anything particularly original, but getting to each one is a creative process that takes time and is sometimes painful and frustrating but none the less, very enjoyable and rewarding when you get the result you see in your mind. maybe one day though.
and again, thank you so much for your kind words everyone.
Just for reference, I've added the lens i used for each image - i shot most of these wide open or very close to wide open (i usually stop down a little for up close shots)
i've added a few more from the set i've been able to process - as always c+c very welcome.
