Was the Nikon D2HS shutter tested to so many actuations?

I've had half page pics in newspapaers and I have an 18" x 12" print on the wall from this camera - it produces great results - I still use mine and I have a pair of D3 bodies now. It has a different quality from the D3. Useful up to around 1250 - 1600 ISO

I appreciate your reply. Was getting the impression this camera is only good enough to make pics, the quality of which, that you see in the newspapers.

There was a D2x in one of the dealers with nearly 500,000 actuations on it, which means Pete can probably get about 20 years out of the one he just bought

:lol::lol: maybe ten the rate Im firing but my older D2H was rated at 200,000 if this is any help and its a steel shutter too so be carefull when changing focus screens they tend to bend inwards but once clicked in place it isnt a problem:thumbs:............D2H a fantastic camera by the way I loved mine as it was miles ahead of the D200 if used correctly

200,000 for the D2H. Very probaly the same for the D2Hs which is the answer to my original question. Thanks very much, Dangermouse1964.

here's a few pics from mine - variety of subject matter and EXIF intact:

What's a focus screen?

So as a result of what it was designed for does it have inferior image quality in comparison to other cameras?

Depends what you mean by 'inferior' - the D2H and D2Hs have a lower resolution compared to the 'X' models by dint of fewer pixels, but it does exactly what it's designed to do...

The D2x, despite being older, recieved a firmware upgrade that brought it into line with the D2Xs.
The D2H and D2Hs have a similar relationship...

If printing up to A4, you'd probably never notice the difference...
