this is just another quick pic, i'll end up doing one with a neutral back drop etc,
this was 1/200 shutter, A 2.8 , auto focus on my finger were the drop was (still havent tried manual yet) different angle on the drop.....

first picture is the first one i tried second is the new settings.

look like am going towards the right settings etc? I have 18 days off work after tonight so going to give it a propper go then :)

I think they're very good for first attempts and that the advice RJL2005 gave you on the other thread is spot on! ... The only thing I would add is try the shots with some colour in the water as it really helps to bring out the contrast and as you say use a background. I find wrapping paper can work really well as can magazines etc. Keep at it and you'll get some excellent shots, it really does need a lot of practice to find the best setting for your camera set up (y)

Have you looked at the Strobist blog as they have a very good tutorial Clicky :cool:
