For a first attempt, I'm impressed. You didnt say how many images you took to get these 2!
The top of the first one is distracting though.
 
Thanks all for the comments i think i took about 150 shots in all but once i got the timing right it went smoothly enough.

try putting your shutter on 1/200 might give lil more sharpness (y)

you using manual focus? not sure how you focused but if you put a pencil or folk handle etc in place where the drop will land and focus on that to.
