Water drops

I had a quick go at photographing some water drops.

Used just my D3000 kit lens and hand held remote.

Not the best I've seen by far, but an enjoyable hour or so experimenting.

f/5.3 and 1/125.

What lens should I be looking at to get better shots?

C&C welcome. Thanks.

I don't think jumping to a new lens is the next step.

You have a good solid start with the image you've shown. The next step may be to think of the composition, lighting, and colour options to develop further what you've begun.

Once that's perfected it's time to move on!

All the best

I suspect you are right, and my wife would agree with your new lens comment!

I saw a post around here about water shots so I'll give that a few reads and try again.

Thanks.
