Good to see a Water Vole out on my local patch, we hadn't seen any for a few weeks, they do tend to stop underground more during the winter

He could have seen me gramps, I've studied Voles over many years, by the body language of the Vole, and the shaping of the mouth, and looking in my back library of pictures and sounds, it's actually saying, and I quote, "WHAT THE !!!!" lol

Mate where was your focus point,maybe i'm wrong but the bank behind (especially LHS of face) looks sharper than the face?? Maybe motion blur I'm unsure of your techs ,but something feels slightly out
