Waterfalls

[Chappers]

Reading an article on the Luminous Landscape website about photographing waterfalls

http://www.luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/waterfalls.shtml

I noticed the following comment

"It was even mentioned that in England photographers are automatically disqualified if they submit a photograph of a waterfall to a contest. While I do not know if this is true, it certainly emphasizes the fact that there are huge numbers of waterfall pictures taken all the time, and the vast majority of them are immensely boring.".

News to me

But a good article anyway

There are lots of subjects that are immensely boring. Depends on the viewers taste to a large extent.

Well I must admit that the author was quite right... It really is dead easy to take a boring waterfall shot. Not one of the shots on that page did anything for me whatsoever.
