Waterproof bags?

No
I'm planning a trip to the Lake District soon and need to make sure all my gear is protected.

I currently own a Crumpler shoulder mount bag ( can't remember the model) and a Slingshot 100. The Crumpler has zero weather protection but is my preferred bag.

I'm after suggestions for a small waterproof bag which would hold my 7D plus lens and one other small lens (135L). Ideally the smaller the better.

My other option would be to wrap a bin liner or some other small plastic bag over the Crumpler which I could lift up for access.

One final question is there any issue with storing gear in ziplok freezer style bags? My main worry would be condensation.

Thanks.

Are you sure about the Crumpler? I thought they were waterproof as standard. I have a Cheesy Tina bag and it performed admirably in keeping my camera dry in San Francisco rain earlier this year. I know for certain that Crumpler's larger bags are made of 100% waterproof material and are well folded around the flaps to keep water out there too. Their smaller bags might be a different story.

If you like the idea of Bostin's suggestion, you can also DIY.
There's a range of cheap light properly waterproof bags available at outdoor shops - they come in all sizes, just get one slightly oversized, job done.

I use these bags when taking my camera gear into the mountains.
I wrap the camera kit in a microfleece towel for protection inside the waterproof bag and load it in the top of my mountaineering rucksack.

When it's not pouring with rain, the camera lives in an old CCS pouch threaded onto the rucksack belt. Fast access and well protected against knocks. Unfortunately these are no longer available and I've not seen anything quite as bombproof since. This one on eBay is similar, not sure if it's the same model as mine, as mine is blue.
