Looking for a camera to take to the beach and in the swimming pool, I was looking at the pentax WG-3 but reviews suggest it isn't very good, does anybody have a waterproof camera they would recommend? I don't need lots of fancy features, I'd just like to be able to take nice pictures underwater, around water where I don't want to take a dslr and also some video but very occasionally. I've read reviews but I haven't got a clue still so any help is appreciated

Size isn't an issue as I'll always have a bag with me.
Budget is around £200 but spending less is always nicer, I'm ordering it tomorrow as I'll need it for Monday so ebay isn't an option as I've left it too late.

Thanks :)

I'm just about (literally, in 1/2 an hour!) to go off on holiday and am taking a Canon D10 for snorkelling. I used to have an Olympus "waterproof" compact which decided not to be a couple of years ago... Stroke of luck really - the Canon gives much better and nicer results and is easier to use! The D10 is now superseded by the D20 but you might still find one in old stock and it shouldn't be too expensive now.

Yeah, I spent last night looking, the canon d20 is out of stock or I would've gone for that after some reading, think I'll be ordering the Fuji xp200, just deciding between yellow or black :)

Lumix DMC FT3 is what I've got :) Not bad really and waterproof to 12meters or something
