Waterproofing

Hi all,
In the summer I'm going on a seal safari on a RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat), we are allowed to take photo's and I'm wondering what would be the best way to waterproof my 1100D?

There really is no real way of waterproofing a camera like yours. Presuming you cant get a waterproof housing for a 1100d (would be very expensive)

You can achieve a means of water resistance relatively easily, whether that be cheaply with a couple of plastic bags, or you can buy specific bags/socks kind of thing for cameras.

I do scuba diving and have been on a lot of ribs. If you take the camera you will need to make sure it is all waterproofed from spray. No open parts at all as salt water mist will get into any opening.

If you're going to be able to use the camera safely when stationary then the lowepro dry zone bags are excellent!
I've worn mine kayaking grade4 :-D

If you want something you can use the camera in, I can highly recommend the aquapac stuff, I've used my dslr at the beach with one of these and it was very very handy!!
Just don't be tempted to open it up before you're back safe & dry!!!

The dryzone bags are out of my price range but i will be taking a Slingshot 200 AW, the Aquapac's look good though.
