Edit My Images
Yes
My collection of images is slowly growing, and I want to add them to my website but I dont feel i should show multiple images from the same set next to each other or spread them out in order to get the first page of thumbnails to show many different styles.

What about having them in separate galleries, with an index of galleries only showing a thumbnail, choose the strongest image from each gallery as the thumbnail.

Assuming this is a question about your LRG but I'm not sure I understand the question. Can you elaborate?

Andy.

Yes it is, sorry maybe I wasnt clear what I mean.

Basically I have lots of pictures from the same set which are similar. I want to show the best images on the first page of each gallery but then from the 2nd page show the rest of the pictures in the sets.

Is this a good idea or should I keep pictures from the same set together within the gallery and not spread them out.

Have a website and create a blog.

guess I really wasnt clear at all ;)

If you have your collection set sorted by 'User Order' you can drag particular photos around in Library view to arrange in the order you want. Then when you switch to the Web module they should be presented in that order. Is that what you're after? This allows you to manually arrange your best photos at the beginning of the gallery.

Andy.

If I understand your question correctly the answer you are looking for is to grade your images in sets. If so all your best images would be on (say) P1 followed by the rest on P2, P3 etc? Shouldnt be hard to do but you will need gallery software that allows you to section these by folder levels.

I had a nose as I'm currently experimenting with website building.
24 secs sat at the home page looking at "loading Site". I nearly got bored and gave up. Beautiful bride and some nice pics though.
Hmm... thats a bit worrying. I do have a new non-flash website in development at the moment as I'm not happy with the LRG Flash one. I need to keep it going for a while longer yet though. I'd better have a look into that. Cheers.

Any other LRG users had performance problems loading galleries?

Andy.

Have a look on my site and click on the [?] for the xml slideshow files.

The good things about the xml route is you can just add photos to the xml data list :)

Its really easy too :)

*Suggested as a more lightweight version of what you have!
