She will cost you a fortune and leave you skint most of the time. But she is your daughter and you will love her more than life itself. So once again congrats and spend as much time as you can with her because in a blink of an eye she will be all grown up and will not want to spend time with her old dad.

I cant stress this enough, my sons not long turned one and its just gone by so fast... anytime you think "I'll just do this for five minutes, then play with her", slap yourself and get down to play.
 
Thanks very much for all the kind words everyone. We're back home now and gracey and mum are doing really well. She's absolutely gorgeous in already smitten! Long night's ahead but we're up for the challenge and looking forward to hundreds of good memories with our new little girlie! :-D

it seems like only yesterday my daughter gave birth to my first grandson and he will be 1 next month

I had my first baby start of this year (February), a little girl too. She is my world now. Always put here before everything else now.
