Hi ... i want to construct a slideshow (possibly flash based) from my Wedding photo images and insert the show into my website .... Ive tried macromedia flash 8 but it seems rather long winded for what i need ...

What would be a suitable and relatively easy program to use for this .. ?

If you have a mac and iLife 09 you can make a slideshow presentation that you can either link to or, I think, import into iWeb. Nice and easy to do (and can make a great photobook also!).

(Just confirmed that it can indeed transfer to iWeb. Works real easy)

ShowIt Web

Not free but at $99 (£60) it's not exactly expensive. I'm always trying to find a free opensource alternative to software before parting with my cash but in the end I just bought this, it's very simple to use, lots of customisation and options and works great. You'll find it used a lot on a lot of pro wedding tog blogs.

I use the web slideshow in lightroom

+1 for Lightroom using simpleviewer as the output in the slideshow module.

+0.5 for jalbum and simpleviewer plugged in. I find jalbum's interface quite horrible

+1 for Simpleviewer standalone. If you don't mind configuring some text files, its quite easy.

Im sure there are a load of java scripts along with flash loaders that can do the job easily... try searching on dynamicdrive website
