This last couple of days the main pc has been sticking on IE8 when changing tabs or entering a new URL or opening a fav. I have downloaded firefox this morning and all the websites I open in it are just strips down the centre of the screen with 2 wide empty spaces either side. Any tips or advice on which browser is the best and how to correct the firefox web page size?

I thank you.

Have you tried View, Zoom, Reset on the top menu. Just a thought, as I've never had this problem myself.

sky news is a fixed width web page, if you have a wider window it will just display white bars down the side to take up the extra space. BBC news is the same. This is intended behaviour.

TP (for example) stretches to fill the window.
