First of all, i would like to say hi to everyone here, as I am new. I am looking forward to becoming part of this community.

My interest in photography started about a year ago, and i was recently thinking about making a website to let people around the world view and comment on my pictures. Rather than using something like Flickr, i have decided that i would like to make my own website, as i am ok at making websites. However, after doing a search on Google, i am unsure as to whether some of these hosts are any good, so i came on here for some advice.

As some of you have some nice looking websites, i would like to know what webhost you use for your site, and more importantly, are they any good?

Anyway, thanks in advance for any help you give

Used them for a while after a recommendation from a friend; very fast, great uptime, cheap prices and good plans.

They don't oversell either which is a first for a small cheap host. Highly recommended!

Firstly, welcome to TP :) There's plenty of sites around that do free hosting, but why not try asking your question in the talk photography website forum. :)

Thanks for the recommendation:thumbs::thumbs:

I use Vidahost, no problems or complaints! They were pretty much the first one I looked at (following a friends recommendation) so I can't compare to others. Their customer service is fantastic, and I was on first name terms with the tech team when I was first starting out :lol:

Ukkor, try this list on the page I linked to.

I use heart internet, quite pricey but I've never had any problems at all, and there customer service is ace. http://www.heartinternet.co.uk/

I'm setting up a proper portfolio soon, and I think I'm going to use some fancy flash one, they look the dogs.

I'd recommend Vidahost too, and concur with the above (first name terms included). Feel free to consider my view somewhat biased though because I had the privilege of more than a little involvement in helping them find their feet (call it fortuitous timing on both sides and they've grown a lot since those days).

Another vote for Vidahost here.:)
