Web hosting and domains - Who do you use?

Morning all,

I am looking for recommendations for companies that provide web hosting and domain name services.

Who do you guys use? Who do you recommend. How have you found their service when requiring assistance and in general?

Please let me know.

I have been using Server Centre for my web space and domains, just had my renewal and having a look around.

Used 5quidhost and tagadab and happy with both - i always avoid hosters who want 12 months up front as you have no way of moving if the service were to get bad

I'm new here so I'll guess there is mention of this elsewhere but here's my choice. I use Smugmug for my website, the templates are really easy to use and customise. You can sell directly through the website too if you wish. An added bonus is that it doubles up as a back up of your images too and that's a very important deciding factor for me. They don't sell or supply personal domain names though, I bought mine from www.123-reg.co.uk with no problems.

I use TS Host at them moment and have used 1&1 & fasthost in the past. I am not loyal to any hosting company as soon as my contract is up I'll seek out the best deal and go with them.

HostPapa are good for me - give you a free domain with a yearly renewal and not had any (major/unplanned) reliability issues in 4 years.

Signed up for a 3 year plan @ £1.95/month

I've had a reseller agreement with pickaweb.co.uk since 2005, support are online 24/7 and the prices and service levels are good. Reseller entry is £9.99 a month, I host over 20 domains on that with no problem
