does any one know the correct size for a webpage or a standard size im going to use photoshop for graphics side then convert it but im not sure the correct size for this
a lot of webdesigners used to use 745-755px wide (ish) as on a 800 pixel wide monitor, the site displays well with the scroll bars. However, you need to look at the target audience, and some webstats which incude resoloutions. E.G if you were designing a site for photographers, it would be pretty safe to say 1024 wide would be absoloutley fine (if not wider). If you were designing a site for knitting patetrns for old dears, expect them to use 14' monitors and go smaller. You could also consider designing for a range of resoloutions (elastic) or varients of fixed resoloutions, with different style sheets presented to different browsers and resolotions
