Hi all,

I'm trying to set up a paypal payment system on my website for the sailing events that I'm covering, but having a bit of trouble. I can actually get the button on there, but I need to specify in a notes box postage only for CDand prints, enter email for digital copy to be sent to etc etc, and I can't see any options for this? Also, how would I do it so people can do it easier than simply noting the photo id number and saying that as I've asked? I want them to be able to click on a photo and then the options are given, and multiple discount!? Can't find these options when I log in to paypal, just the very basic stuff. Help much appreciated!

Thanks!

Oh, you are using paypal to provide a shopping cart as well as to accept payments - I didn't understand what you were talking about until I visitied your site and looked at how photos are ordered through it. Does the paypal cart even do those things that you want? I've writen code to interface directly to online payment processing providers, but we write our own web shopping cart in house that provides specific options for our products (not photographic related at all)

If the paypal cart doesn't do what you need, you could write your own (php is probably the simplest language to do it in) or use an off the shelf cart package, as I understand it there are a few about.

Not sure how you are currently going about achieving this, but I'd suggest maybe handing it over to someone else as it's obviously well outside the scope of a standard paypal button.

There may well be an off the shelf system that will do exactly what you want, otherwise you're going to be building a bespoke shopping cart, and you could potentially introduce a lot of security issues by hacking it together yourself.
