Hi,

I m just about finished finishing my website off and would really appreciate some feedback. The feedback I'm looking for is the general feel of the site and what amendments I should make in regards to images I have put these on for the meantime until I have uploaded my proper photos I just wanted to have an idea of how it would look.

Is that your finished home page in terms of content? Because it doesn't say what you do, where you do it, how to get in touch, or anything at all.

agree with above I'd put something about what you offer on the home page and make the home page images smaller, in the about us section I would change this

"Welcome to RCR Photography I m here to provide you with top quality professional photography"

To me it sounds a bit cocky

And the following i would reword as to me it sounds confusing

"We specialise in Portraits and Events, if you need a photographer for anything else please get in contact with me."

And I would move the watermark as its distracting splat bang in the middle
 
Thanks for the feedback but regarding having anything else on the front page I have had heaps of feedback of other photographers recommending me to move any writing into an about us page which I have done I suppose it's individual preference really. But the other bit of feedback regarding watermarks and wording I will amend now.

That doesn't mean they are right though.
If I can't get contact details, off the first page I'm not interested.
Potential clients should never have to hunt, to find out how to contact you, you are supposed to make their life easier.
 
Well, I would certainly agree that lots of other photographers have no info on their home pages. From a pure marketing perspective, I personally think this is nuts and goes against just about every bit of marketing advice we've ever had for our business.
People should be able to see what you do, where you are, how to get in contact, and there should be something to entice them to get in contact, as soon as they land on your website.

Well the plan is that the pictures speak for them self then along the top it they kind find out about us and contact us at a click of a button.

When I have been researching I have found that the sites people stay on are the ones which photos catch there eye because they want to see what other photos this person has taken.

It's no good having a load of info on the front page when the reason they are on your site is to see how good a photographer you are before they want to know your email and no.

I have to agree.

If I landed on the site I wouldn't hang around for long, I think you need much stronger images in your portfolio, they do not scream out professional to me. It just looks like someones person archive gallery and not much else.

As I did say in my first post these arnt the images that will be on there I have put these on to get a feel for how my sites going to look before I upload my portraits and events that's have been done professionally. It was just to to get feedback on the site it's self
 
I think spending more time on your portfolio before creating a website would be beneficial as has already been said by others.

You say in your text that you specialise in portraits and events but I am afraid most of the shots in your portrait gallery look like snapshots and I don't see any images from events.

Regards your commercial portfolio, taking a few snapshots of buildings and some company names doesn't make for a commercial portfolio.
 
Please read the whole thread as it says I have my portfolio and events images to put on the ones that are on now are normal pics I have taken personally just while I was creating my site I will be putting my images on properly wen I'm happy with the site

So has someone else taken the images on the current portfolio pages then?

How much do you charge for your sessions, are you studio based, location etc? The point of a website is to provide information about your business & work which is missing at the moment.
 
OK. there is a lot of Random Capitalisation and you have prices for canvases, but no prices for shoots. Or an idea of where those shoots might be. It is Light on Content, gallery for a homepage or not.

Ok thanks everyone I think I know what I need to do know gonna go away and get it sorted watch this space tho, once I m done if you would mind having a look over it again .
