Hi All,

I've finally got myself together and made a website for myself:

www.iantaylorimages.co.uk

Any feedback/comments would be welcome. There's a lot more I want to do with it and I'm currently getting some help re SEO.

Oh, and any Facebook likes would be more than welcome ;)

1) I would put some of the best images you have on the home page
2) About page "I am an" remove the work 'am'
3) the cloud image at the top of the pages looks a bit plain to me, perhaps replace it with a nice landscape image, or create a logo and overlay it onto the image.
4) needs a lot more images, but guess you will do that at a later date having only just built the site?

It depends on what you want to use it for i guess?
if its just a blog and somewhere to show photos to friends and family then its fine.

However if you run a business and would use this to show perspective clients then it looks a bit basic and far too menu driven...

just my thoughts.

Indeed.

It's simply the default Wordpress TwentyTen theme with a changed header :thinking:
 
More images on the front page. Maybe even show a preview of all 3 galleries. People are going there to look at photos after all. So give them what they want on the front page.

I agree with these two. The header image (the clouds) is way too big meaning I have to scroll down the page before I even see one of your photos.

It's a good start though :)

Same for me, lots of grey, white and then blue space without much content, and then the most interesting picture on the homepage is half-lost below the fold.
Overall I thought it looked much more like a blog hacked into a photography site rather than a native photography site.

I also think theres lots of wasted space at the expense of needing to move pages. For example, the contact page contains very little info which could actually be incorporated into every page so that users don't have to click 'contact' to find you (like my own site).
 
Thanks for your feedback, everyone. You've pretty much listed my to-do list, as well as giving me a few things to think about.

There's a lot I want to do, but decided to 'launch' anyway - if I waited until I was 100% happy I'd never go public. Putting some time aside this/next week to look St my SEO, so will also look at addressing some of the above points.
