Website Homepage plus Website Update

Just read that and it made me laugh :)
"I think there is too much on my homepage"
"what should I ADD?" :lol:

Anyway, this isn't an English lesson :lol:

The thing that is distracting for me is all the bullet points, everything on the homepage is bullet pointed.
Your bullet points have a main folder, then sub-folders inside. Is it possible to hide the sub-folders so u only see Motorsport, Landscape etc?

I think a home page needs to be quite plain tbh.
Just some information about the business and a picture (a changing picture if u can)

Then u have u're about us section, and a portfolio

So there doesn't need to be much. If your struggling just google photographers and look on their websites for ideas, but obviously dont copy :)
 
I will take a look around

tried to make those pages collasping styled but it doesnt want to work, i will have a play later and see what i can come up with
 
changing theme later when i work out the header of the new one t adjust it

until i do that it will have to stay as is i am afraid
 
I wouldn't overly worry... the majority of traffic will 'jump in' to your site at some page different from the homepage. The homepage is one of the least important pages in your site. What is important, is that customers can easily navigate their way to where they want to go, from wherever they land.

Use analytics to look at bounce rates and landing pages...
 
The menu system on the right, maybe just list the main headers then as you mouse over a another sub menu opens, this would certainly shorten the long menu.

Thats the plan now, will take alittle longer than expected though as i will have to re create the gallery

Edited the title now as i have finally sorted out collapsing galleires to the side

I will add some ingo later on the homepage, time for a break lol
 
after trying out just the one picture I have decided to run with that, I am now going to run with an "About" page once i get home this afternoon
 
I really like this mate.

The layout seems a bit off when I view it in IE 6 at work. I'll try and get a screenshot for you.
 
works so if the BSB at cadwell for example it lists each day in there, once i sort other sameller galleries out more will appear there

my first thought yes but after thinking and looking its actually better looking as said earlier, i will listen and learn one day :lol:
