Websites for selling prints?

Sorry if this has been covered to death already, but I was wondering what websites people would recommend for making money from prints i.e. you upload your photos to gallery, tag them with keywords, buyers search for keywords, find your photos and then order prints, you get cut of the sale and everyone's a winner?

Bonus points to those who have sold prints or other merchandise through such a website.

Thanks

I host my own site, but I suppose you could use Photobox Pro galleries, Smugmug, or umpteen other pre-made sites. All my print sales come through my own promotion - I go to a rally, hand cards out, talk to people (mostly about their lens-envy;)), post pics on rally forums, Flickr etc etc.

What sort of photographs are we talking about anyway?

I don't want to get into the printing, posting or customer service side of things so I'd be looking for a third party to handle the order fulfilment.

Do you print your own?

Hopefully, the sort that people might buy! Seriously, I would like to try some landscapes.

To be honest it sounds like you have the impression it's pretty easy & that you just need to make your photos available on the web...it's certainly not easy and I'm certain many others will say the same.

As with most things, the more effort you put in the better the rewards.

I appreciate it's easy to jump to such a conclusion, but I'm under no disillusionment about the ability of my photos to sell themselves.

Redbubble.com seem pretty good, I have a couple of pictures on there and it's a nice site to browse.

I use Zenfolio for my web site. You can sell pics form this one and it only costs me $40 a year to run.

The topic has come up before. There are various places that will do everything for you, Photobox Pro are one but the issue is quality control. I sell online but I always have the prints delivered to me so I can check they are correct before dispatching to the client. In the past I've had the wrong prints, bent corners on prints, etc. so I've been able to sort it out without the client having a clue anything was wrong. It also means I can re-pack the prints, include an invoice, promo flyers, etc.
