wedding dvds with slideshow??

When supplying a client with a dvd slideshow of their wedding .....what do you do if the DVD wont work on their dvd player?

tell them to upgrade their dvd player :D

why doesn't it work? most dvd players these days accept almost all formats so maybe my suggestion does make sense...
 
I have made a sample dvd and gave it to a few people for some feedback and one friends dvd player it wont work on.


I was thinking of supplying it as a service but if i come across this prob it could cause me hassle.


I supplied some photos on cd last year and the client kept saying the disc was faulty i gave him four different ones and none of them worked on his pc although they wroked on my two, my dads and various friends.


im am afraid it will be more bother than its worth to supply a dvd....

i have stopped supplying the cd as its to much hassle if it dont work..

They indeed should but what if they dont......from a business point should i give a refund of some sorts or tell them i have supplied the goods working and its their problem [put nicer of course ha ha ]
 
Just a thought, burning disks at high speeds leads to problems with a lot of players, if you keep to burning at 6x or below, your disks should be more compatible.
 
Some R+W discs do not work on DVD players.
 
you need to make sure you use r - (or is is it W- for standard 1 burn dvd, anyway, the "-" is the inportant bit) for best compatibility, and dont use RW disks
