Here's a new one on most people if not everyone!

Bride ordered a wedding package with photobook(high street version not graphi!)it came back with a few printing errors but she also requests "No barcode./branding" on it!!

Im at a loss how to proceed considering even creme egss have a barcode! :D

thats tough I'm afraid - if she wants the cheap product she'll get a bar code or branding etc.

Even places such as blurb, which will allow you to use your own logo, or a blank logo rather than their own charge around 25% more per book for the non-logo versions :(

How cheap does it need to be? Loxley don't brand their coffee table books

isn't it just a case of...

the price without a barcode is £xxx
or
the price with a barcode is £yyy?

let her decide

Well it will have to be if she continues, she complained AFTER the fact.once she'd recieved the book. :(

TBH nothing you can do - the place where you purchase the book is not in the contract etc so what did she really expect.

I'm pretty sure the CEWE book through WHSmiths (and avaliable from others had no bar code or CEWE logo ??

Just had a look at the few Cewe photobooks that I have and they all have a barcode on the back at the bottom.

Kev.

Did you show her a sample album when she booked or did she just book the package without seeing the full product?

Do you even have a sample album to show?

Assuming you didn't show her the product I think it may be a case where you have to make a choice, either stand firm and just get her an undamaged copy or go the extra mile at your own expense to get her what she wants. It may be too late to turn her into a screaming fan but you could stop her from becoming more vocal in her complaint. If choose to go the extra mile make sure she knows what you are doing for her, she may not actually thank you but it could make her feel a bit guilty in slagging you off.

I can confirm that CEWE photobooks do put a barcode and thier logo on all books and I don't think you can switch that off (which is why I don't use them for my customer deliverable products).

Take the fnished product to a bookbinders and have it rebound if only the exterior has barcode/logo.

Yep, Ive got one from Loxley Colour. No barcode or any other brand name except the text I've put on it.

Not cheap though, very good quality
