Went to a wedding today as a guest:D

great fun not having to think about the guests ../ bride and groom and all the normal shots..

But i found myself looking the the main photographers kit. and the shots they / he was getting and thinking to myself ..hmmmmm would i do that . would that work.

Just wondered if anyone else had these thoughts at service they where not shooting.

I think it's an inevitable part of being a photographer....you always judge when your not in the firing line...but when you are there!!!!!! lets see the results.....NO ****ing around!

Funnily enough I was at my lil' sisters wedding yesterday. I didn't take my camera as I wanted to enjoy the day as a guest. The wedding tog was on his own with 1 x 500d and 1 x 480ex. I just hope that the pics turn out ok, which i am sure they will but to have only 1 body and 1 flash was risking an awful lot. He wasn't cheap to hire for the day either!!

I never seem to go to weddings as a guest, I always end up as the tog.
I do find myself watching other togs out and about though, trying to see what their shooting, my favorite is floodlit rugby, I'm on the sidelines and people are shooting from the back of the stadium with flash on their compacts, I often wonder what they actually get.

i just been to a wedding as the best man and i hardly got a chance to pic the camera up obviously lol but when i did i left in on fully auto i hate doing it but no time to set up and the wife was using it

but when i was watching the photographer i was also assiting here as her help to get guest blah blah blah but she had some really good idea's i think i learnt alot and on the night a 2nd tog come to replace the 1st and same thing again both were more than willing to talk to me both had diffrent style's and some things i would of done

Not being funny mate :) Just saying that when it's you behind the camera and the heat is on it is easy to miss one or two shots, unless you have a few years under your belt or an assistant of course, in the confusion if your not 100% on the ball.

I just didn't word it very well is all, Id had a few pints by that time...:bonk:
