That looks a fairly vicious sport. I presume they wear full face-guards for a reason?

The lacrosse sticks themselves are either aluminium or wood & the heads are plastic. If someone was trying to knock the ball out of your stick and missed, it would quite easily break your nose, cheekbone or remove several teeth.

Plus the ball is solid rubber and when someone shoots at 60mph+, it can hurt a lot. Good fun game though !!!
