just been alerted to this via another forum ,all of a sudden photos are getting lots of faves from young ladies when you follow them back th “ladies “ have no photos just links to porn sites .
So far today I have added 27 to my contacts list :banana::banana::banana:

No seriously it’s a problem that needs looking at by the new owners

I've been reporting them, the new owners seem slow to respond even allowing for California time.
There was a similar outbreak a couple of years ago.
They are likely only bots anyway.

Happens every now and then until it gets clamped down. I've blocked a tonne but they just keep regenerating new ones daily

For me, the subtle clue that these messages might not be entirely sincere was when I got one for an account containing no images at all.

I had 59 new likes when I logged in today, that gave it right away, as I hadn't even posted any new images the day before and the average new like count is more like 10 - 12 spread across the few I upload. The 59 likes were spread across 4 accounts, all with female names, none with any uploads bar the female profile pic.

When you see something like this, you know you'be been botted

Same here - rarely been bothered by them before, but I have blocked at least ten of these accounts in the last two or three days

Same thing over the last couple of days. I just report them all ... PITA though.

As before, when there was a similar thread ...
Still no "likes" ...
And Still gutted ...

:D

Ah, I was wondering what the ‘scam’ was.

Quite a lot the last few days and happened a couple of times before and I couldn’t figure what the end objective was for them.

They post to 10,000 people (say) ... if only 0.1% of people click the link in the profile, then likely there have achieved their objective. Its like any scam ... more than 99% of people know its a scam and ignore it ... but the 1 in 1,000 make it worth doing.

If you looked at there profile in the about section was a link for you follow if you were foolish enough.

I just blocked and reported them all there was a thread on the Help forum which easier to find via google btw

Blocking and reporting users is easier in the app
