As a follow up to this thread http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=420357 things have got even better.......
Tropical Wings got in touch with me again with regards to more photos for their marketing material, they wanted to use only my photos in their new leaflet/banner campaign so asked if I would go back with my family as they wanted my nieces & nephews in the photos too.
This visit would also include getting the kids in with the Meerkats, Wallabies and Lemurs.
So with the weather set fair we turned up around midday on Saturday and got to work. The kids had an absolute ball! We got free ice creams, teas/coffees etc (there were 14 of us!) and I came away with over 500 photos....... I've just realised I'm at work and have no way of getting any of the shots on here at the moment but I'll try and remember to do it tonight
Part of the "deal" with them is that I will get a 1mx3m banner in prime location in their car park to advertise my business, as well as leaflet/business card space at their reception desk. They also want me to get shots for a "Keepers Gallery" which will also bear my company name (i.e. Photo supplied by R Shepherd Photography).
They have an annual visitor count of around 130K so the exposure is quite significant! Fingers crossed it'll send a little business my way.
To be honest, even if it doesn't, my neices and nephews got to get up close and personal with the animals (which is normally £120 each) so at the moment uncle Russ is quite popular (how many kids have had a meerkat sitting on their lap doing the "simples" pose or hand fed grapes to lemurs)
