I visited a local Zoo (Tropical Wings in Essex for those that know it) on Sunday with my family.

Rattled off a couple of hundred shots of the animals and my family enjoying a day out and ended up with just over 100 keepers.

Posted them on facebook and added a link to them on the Tropical Wings facebook page.

Got an email from them last night complimenting me on my photos and asking my thoughts about them using them for "marketing purposes".

I replied pretty much straight away with a couple of requests which they accepted and said they will definitely consider using me in future :)

Considering I was only there for an afternoon out with my family I think that's a blinding result! :thumbs:

I'm at work (boring day job) at the moment and can't access facebook to get to the public URL but...... If you follow the link to the Tropical Wings site, they have a link to their facebook page at the bottom of the page, follow that and you should be able to see the post with the public link.

Failing that I'll try and upload some later this evening :)
 
Nice one Russ, its my mothers favourite place locally, she goes there as much as she can.

We really like it there, Christmas 2010 we adopted a meerkat for our nieces/nephews and last Christmas we adopted an albino wallaby called Wombat :lol:

One of my nieces, at the age of two was convinced there were no wallabies so we had to prove her wrong :lol:

only had a quick look but I like the frame and the use of negative (ish) space too.
I take it that the people in the shots are friends/family of yours. wasn't sure which ones they're requested. animal shots only?

They originally only wanted the animal shots but the only other people are my family (Wife, Mum, Dad, Brother, Sister, in-laws and Nieces & Nephews) and they're all happy to be "involved" so they may use some of the family shots too :)
