Well i havnt been on here for a while and tbh i havnt been any where except the hospital for the last few months, fortunatly for me im all fixed now and i can get back to my photography.


anyway as i have been out of work for some time due to this illness i had to sell some stuff to put food on the table ect so my camera had to go :'(.

but ive been offered a nikon d5000 for what i feel is a good price, it has a 18-55mm af kit lens, a 70mm-300mm tamron and a Nikon Nikkor AF D 50 mm F/1.8 Lens.

the problem is as ive been out of the game for so long i seem to have forgotten everything and i was wandering if the d5000 is a good enough camera to get me started again, also whats your veiw on the lenses, i did have the tamron lens with my sony so know what to expect but are the other to any good.

just a thought.....depending on the price of the kit you have been offered...:lol:


you could have my 2 lenses for £210
add a D5000 body

the 50mm listed above wont auto-focus on a D5000
so add a 35mm 1.8 AF-S later when funds are available again
it's a ''choice'' lens and next on my ''to-buy'' list...:D


whatever...hope you're well on the road to recovery, get a job, get some gear, and get shooting again........:thumbs:

sorry but my missus said i cant buy any extra lenses until the bank account is topped up again, but thanks for the offer.

im getting all the above for £310 which i think is a good deal the shutter count is only 1659 so its hardly been used and its a friend who im getting it from and i can trust him, im just happy to be out snapping again
