Thanks for looking

Thanks for looking guys.

Not sure what the actual subject of the picture is.

:D I'm not sure myself.
I guess I was just trying to capture the bleakness of the terrain.
It's quite an unusual place really...
Just 2 minutes from the busy town of Hyde but when you're up there, you feel so very far away from civilization.

Fantastic views of most of Manchester which I hope to try and capture when I get a decent camera.

Another shot here..

As I was leaving and the sun was setting I thought I'd try something different.
Hasn't worked quite like I wanted it to, so I'll try and give it another go sometime.

Thanks again

Hi Anthony, Some nice shots. Don't think you have quite captured the views from up there.

I live in Hyde and the views from up there are amazing!!! Must get up there myself some time (y)

BTW where abouts are from?

Thanks Philip.
 You're perfectly right mate...I've not done the views any justice at all.

I've still got a lot to learn and I'm saving for a decent camera, which I hope will hasten my improvement.

I found it quite frustrating yesterday...Seeing with my eyes the shots I wanted but not being able to capture them the way I would have liked.
That's why I tried to make the most of the foreground.

Will be back up there soon to give it another crack.

I'm in Bredbury myself, so not very far from you at all.

They are still quite good even on a point and shoot. What camera are you saving for?

Hello thats my neck of the woods, I am from Hyde.
You say your from Bredbury, then get down to Etherow park in Compstall and have a look at my wildlife exhibition.

I'm off work Thursday, so I'll go and take a look.
My main interests are wildlife and landscape so I hope to gain some inspiration from your work.
I was actually at Etherow early Sunday morning, but left before the centre was open.

I took a picture of Hyde War Memorial myself Sunday...Not a patch on yours though.

My pictures are in the cafe on the wall on the right.
Might see you down Compstall some time.
