Hi there peeps, going to be out and about tomorrow taking picts at our local motocross event , the weather has been terrible as in a heavy drizzle the last couple of days with more for tomorrow.Any tips to keep my SLR nice and dry?
A good solution is to aquire a medium sized sturdy clear plastic bag, a large zip seal type bag is perfect, that will house your camera.
Then, take a skylight filter the size of your lens, and cut a hole in the end of the bag a tiny bit smaller that the thread size.
Glue the filter to the bag in the hole. If you use super glue check a small section elsewhere on the bag as cyanoacrylates might make certain plastics go white.
Screw the filter onto your lens, et voila.
Please note......use an old skylight filter, it will only work with I.F. lens', but most importantly, dont come running to me if it all goes a bit Pete Tong.
This is a great tried and tested method.

i have a perpose made camera cover to keep the body dry, the lenses are weather sealed, however i still use a gortex gatter to keep them covered, and dry.
