And what a camera.
Went to Darley moor racing circuit near ashbourne for trackday yesterday to take a few piccys of my son on his bike with my new D300 and old Nikon 70-200 2.8 lens.
Got taken under the wing of the resident photographer Eric Whitehead and I was allowed trackside with him. What a day, light was good and I got the shots not normally available to us mere mortals. Eric has been snapping away for 30 years and does an excellent job there. I picked up some excellent tips and came away with a couple hundred good shots.
Camera behaved perfectly and the old lens although a bit slow to focus was tack sharp and I only lost a few frames the whole day.
