I am off to Turkey in a couple of weeks and hoping to get some good shots while i am out there. I have been getting a few extra little bit's and pieces to try and cover all eventualities.


So far in my bag, i have packed;

  • 5d
  • 50mm f1.8
  • 17-40 f4 L
  • 70-200 f2.8 L
  • 430 EX flash
  • slr zoom gorillapod
  • wireless shutter trigger
  • wireless flash triggers
  • circular polarising filter
  • lens and sensor cleaning kit

Maybe a ND filter of sorts? I expect there will be some quite bright sunlight.
 
A Fender Precision or Rickenbacker 4001? :)

No battery charger, I note. :thinking:

...or any CF cards [you'd feel a bit of a chump to discover that at Ephesus or somewhere]


...or data backup.

I'm going to Alanya. Don't really know anything about the place, Mrs Bassjunkie booked it as a surprise.
But it's my first holiday for 7 years so i'm wanting to make sure i don't forget anything silly.
 
An underwater camera? You can get a throwaway film jobbie for about a fiver, or I think vivitar do a digi for about fifty quid.

I've never used one, but am planning to get one for my trip to the Med in September.

UKP only. Do not give them 20 expecting to take for 2 of you, you won't see any change :D
 
Yeah don't forget the battery

You don't want to go off on a couple of miles walk with all your kit and realise that your battery isn't in your camera and at home on charge that would be really stupid
