What am I Going to do with this? (which do you Prefer).

I kinda prefer the second although I think some of the birds colour has been dialed down with the background background, especially the tail. Do birds have tails? Same with the post. Great shot though.

First one for me but I think the crop is a bit tight and a little more space top and bottom would be better.
 
Try a "more" portrait crop, (more space at the top and bottom than the sides). - particularly if you have more space at the top, (and bottom?)
