What Backdrop to use?

HI all,

I am covering a shoot for a companies staff profile. I am looking for full length portrait images (basic Head to feet) and I want a gray background.

So what backdrop do I use? Baring in mind most of the people are female and have high heels on I think I am going to have problems with the grey muslin I already have. It will keep rippling under foot and I will have to keep pulling it tight wasting mine and their time.

So I am looking at maybe seamless paper. But I have never used this. Will the high heels tear the paper as the models keep walking on and off?

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Paper is good, cheap and disposable. High heels will eventuall rip it, if the paper is on a carpeted floor, but with care can last a few shoots if placed on a hard surface.

Back in the day, cloth backdrops hung curtain-like and roll-paper backdrops were all we had...
