Ive just bought the canon flash 580. What are the best rechargeable batteries to use?
I've heard horror stories about them leaking..
 
Would say good quality ones will be fine and as with any battery, if you're not using it for a long period, best to remove them :thumbs:

There seems to be a popular opinion re Eneloop batts or other very similar ones that hold on to their charge much longer are very good :thumbs:
 
I'd go for eneloop rechargeables they're excellent. Have a look a 7dayshop I think you can get them with a charger for around £8 or so
