What bulbs for a light tent?

I'm thinking of building a light tent for some macro photography and while I'm pretty handy with a saw and hammer, I've no idea what sort of lighting is necessary.

What I'm thinking of is a cube of about 60cm x 60cm x 60cm. White muslin inside and changeable background colours as required.

What I'd like to know is what bulbs should I build into the unit? I'm assuming that some energy saving bulbs would be best but are there different types?

Hi Kevin

The energy saving bulbs need to warm up first, not sure about the building them in part, how are you going to control the light? it's either going to be on, or off

As for building your tent, I bought one for a few jobs from 'that auction site' 80cm cubed for £20
 
Thanks Allan, I will put a switch on the outside to control the lights - either "on or off" should be all I need, I'd have thought.

Buying one for £20 might be an alternative; can you point me towards the one you bought?

I've still got a query about the kind of bulbs that are best for this - as I understand it, I'd need a white light rather than the colour casts that come from some lighting. Or maybe it doesn't matter when shooting in RAW?
