What cable

Can anybody tell me which cable/adapter i need to buy to connect my dell monitor to the graphics card in my pc (dell precision t5500)

Dvi-I dual link or display port on the graphics card. You've not said what your screen is though.

DVI to DVI cable if your monitor has the same socket in it.

Looking at your pictures you need a DVI cable.

That confirms it and what the others have said, you just need a div to dvi cable, pretty much the standard.
