Guys I have a Nikon D80 and I also use the DIYPhotoBits.com Camera Control software to tether my camera to my laptop and play around with time lapse photography. I have only ever used it for around an hour's worth of shots but in our work they want to take photos over a 12 hour shift.
I was wanting to know how I would go about this considering the battery on the camera itself wouldn't last that length for taking loads of photos over 12 hours, ideally I would need a camera that can take a mains power lead so it can be ran from mains power.
Our work doesn't mind buying in a new camera and software but I don't want to buy the wrong hardware which won't do the job, or would I be better buying a video camera that can take direct mains power?
Any help/suggestions would be great.
Thanks
Clarke
